The Eye Institute of Utah Welcomes Dr. Samuel Passi
We are pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Samuel Passi to the team at The Eye Institute of Utah!
Dr. Passi specializes in cataract, refractive, and cornea surgery and is also eager to provide our patients with dry eye disease management, refractive lens exchange, corneal cross linking, and other ophthalmological services.
Hailing from Grand Rapids, MN, Dr. Passi graduated from the University of Utah at Salt Lake City with departmental, university, and summa cum laude honors. He then received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine before completing his residency in ophthalmology at Duke University Eye Center in North Carolina. During a subsequent anterior segment fellowship at Minnesota Eye Consultants, Dr. Passi received additional specialized training in cornea, refractive, and external diseases of the eye. Since then, Dr. Passi has gone on to earn multiple honors and awards, serve as primary inventor of two surgical devices, and become a sought-after speaker and author of scholarly works.
In addition to his extensive training and notable experience in the management and treatment of complex eye conditions and ophthalmological surgery, Dr. Passi has given generously of himself in volunteer initiatives all over the world. Dr. Passi is a devoted husband and father of two boys, and enjoys a range of outdoor activities as well as playing the guitar.
