Eye Surgeons in Salt Lake City Welcome Glaucoma and Cataract Specialist to Their Practice
The Eye Institute of Utah recently added Dr. Charles H. Weber as a part of its team of eye specialists.
Salt Lake City, UT — Recently, The Eye Institute of Utah announced the addition of ophthalmologist Charles H. Weber, MD to its team. The Salt Lake City eye surgery practice says Dr. Weber is its newest specialist in glaucoma and cataract surgery, conditions that can cause deteriorating vision loss and even blindness if left untreated. At The Eye Institute of Utah, Dr. Weber will perform eye care treatments varying from routine procedures to complex surgery, focusing primarily on cataract and glaucoma cases.
Dr. Weber recently completed a glaucoma fellowship at the John A. Moran Eye Center under the direction of Dr. Alan Crandall of The Eye Institute of Utah. He expressed his enthusiasm about being a part of the same team, saying he looks forward to continuing to work closely with and learn from Dr. Crandall and their fellow colleagues at the eye and vision care practice. As a specialist in glaucoma and cataract surgery, Dr. Weber explains he will be able to use the advanced equipment available to him at The Eye Institute of Utah, including the LenSx® Femtosecond Laser and the ORA System with VerifEye® (Optiwave Refractive Analysis). He says having access to state-of-the-art technology like this will allow him to provide patients with less invasive procedures and more precise, accurate results following treatment.
Prior to joining The Eye Institute of Utah, Dr. Weber was involved in several humanitarian projects, providing those in need with eye care services. He recently completed a medical mission to South Sudan, and has worked at Sacramento Homeless Connect as a vision screenings coordinator. Dr. Weber believes it is important to give back, using his skills to help improve the lives of others who may not have had the opportunity otherwise. He says he plans to continue to seek other ways to help those in need throughout his career.
With the addition of Dr. Weber to the staff, doctors at The Eye Institute of Utah say they are able to expand and treat more glaucoma and cataract patients. Dr. Weber says he is proud to be a part of a practice that has been instrumental in eye care and eye surgery research in the United States for more than thirty years.
